About Camarillo ConnectOwner-operated
Camarillo, California

Run by one person who answers the phone.

An IT and AI consultancy run by John Beecroft from Camarillo, for the businesses in Ventura County that are too big to leave technology to chance and too small to hire a CTO.

Who it’s for

Machine shops, retailers, restaurants, farms, law offices. The people running them are busy, and technology should be a lever, not a chore. Camarillo Connect takes the whole of it: the roadmap and the decisions, the network and the accounts, and increasingly the repetitive work that a well-built AI assistant can do instead.

What a week looks like

A roadmap review with an owner in the morning. An on-site visit somewhere between Ventura and Thousand Oaks. Afternoons building something, lately AI assistants that take a repetitive job off someone’s plate and run on the client’s own hardware, where their data stays.

Why one person

You call, John answers. There is no hand-off between the consultant who writes the plan and “the technician” who does it. The person who scopes the work is the person who does it, and the person who does it is the one who explains it afterwards, in plain language, in your portal.

How the work gets done01 / 05
01

Plain language

Plans, updates and invoices are written for the person who runs the business, not for another engineer.

02

Scope first, then hours

Every project starts with a written plan and an hour estimate per phase. Hours are logged the day they’re worked and are visible in your portal.

03

Your data stays yours

AI assistants run on your own hardware or in your cloud account whenever the work is sensitive. The plan says which, and why.

04

Work with what you have

Cloud or on‑prem, Windows or Mac, Active Directory or Entra ID. Replacing things is a last resort, not a sales tactic.

05

Written as code

Configuration lives in a repository your business owns. The documentation is the code itself, so it is never out of date, and you are never locked in.
